Epoxidized soybean oil 67

Item No PESBO67
SPECIFICATION

Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESBO) is a renewable and non-toxic chemical compound derived from soybean oil. Due to its excellent plasticizing, stabilizing properties, and high compatibility with polymers, it is widely used as an additive in PVC, plastics, rubber, paints, and coatings industries. This material is used as a plasticizer and secondary stabilizer in PVC formulations, improving flexibility, thermal stability, and resistance of products against light and environmental conditions.

Epoxidized Soybean Oil 67, thanks to its non-toxic nature and high safety level, is widely used in sensitive applications such as food packaging, medical products, PVC films, transparent bottles, container gaskets, pipes, artificial leather, flooring, wires, and cables. In PVC gaskets, besides its plasticizing function, it absorbs hydrochloric acid (HCl) released during PVC thermal degradation, helping to maintain product quality and extend service life.

One of the key properties of epoxidized soybean oil is its high thermal and light stability along with low migration. Using Epoxidized Soybean Oil 67 together with other plasticizers and stabilizers improves formulation performance, reduces plasticizer migration, and increases the durability of final products. It can also provide a synergistic effect with metal stabilizers and improve PVC processing performance in various formulations.

In addition to PVC applications, Epoxidized Soybean Oil 67 is used in synthetic rubber production as a softener and anti-aging agent, in the coatings industry to improve durability and surface properties, and in the production of printing inks, adhesives, and some cosmetic products. Its plant-based origin, non-toxic nature, and suitability for sensitive applications make epoxidized soybean oil an environmentally friendly and reliable choice for various industries.
