Polyethylene wax grade PAK WAX 017 (Polyethylene Wax or PE Wax) is a polymer additive with a linear, crystalline structure that is used in many industries because of its suitable hardness, high lubricating effect and good heat resistance. This product has a penetration value of less than 5, a flash point above 180 °C and a very low volatility percentage. The low volatility of this grade helps reduce material loss at high temperatures and can indicate suitable performance in industrial processes. The molecular structure of polyethylene wax also gives high slip, low solubility in many solvents and retention of hardness at high temperatures.
Key features of PAK WAX 017 include its lubricating effect, thermal stability, suitable hardness and its ability to help pigments disperse evenly. These features allow the product to play a role in improving the processability of materials, reducing friction and raising the surface quality of products. Its final performance depends on the type of formulation and the processing conditions.
Polyethylene wax grade PAK WAX 017 is used in the production of hot-melt adhesives, color masterbatches, thermoplastics, plastic additives, wax compounds, rubber products and the wire and cable industry. Depending on the formulation, it can also be used as a lubricant, a resin additive and a mold release agent in some production processes.
